Power

This was a game this week at Sky View, which is in North Logan. We played a varsity double-header there on Tuesday. We struggled, losing both games. Evan launched a home run his first at-bat in the first game. Unfortunately, he was leading off that inning so we only got one run. It was sure fun to watch though. He flew out to the warning three more times that day. Maybe he needs to eat Wheaties for breakfast so he could have hit those three fly-outs just a few more feet.

This is Evan's first home run of the season. My favorite part is cute Jake running to get Evan's ball.
We lost to WX last week, which was horrible, but we get to play them two more times. Hopefully we can win a few more games this season, but even if we don't, we're having lots of fun!

Spring Break

We just returned from a wonderful spring break week in San Diego. Bountiful High had a baseball tournament in San Diego, so the rest of us tagged along. It was beautiful weather, very relaxing and we had a posh hotel. Here are the boys playing in one of their games.
This is the pool at our hotel on Coronado Island. It was beautiful and relaxing by the pool was awesome. The kids swam every day. Even Craig did some relaxing (this is unusual):

This is the boardwalk that ran behind our hotel. We had a fantastic view of downtown and we rented bikes almost every morning and rode along the boardwalk before breakfast.

We had a fun dinner in Old Town San Diego with our cousins, Mackynzie and Kayla and Aunt Karyn. It's so much fun to get together with family, especially people we don't get to see often. We attended a Padres-Dodgers game. It was cold, but so much fun to be back in the stadium again. We got to see Manny Ramirez hit two doubles for the Dodgers and it was fun to see the high school welcomed on the scoreboard.
Sea World was really fun. This is Icky feeding the bat rays. He spent several months this year in second grade compiling an Ocean ABC book. He wrote 13 pages about rays in his book, so he was really excited to pet one, even though they were slimy. It was a little rainy in the morning, so it wasn't very crowded.

We also went to Lego Land. This is Sam, Isaac and Sam Lalli (our neighbor at home who has a brother on the high school team and was staying at our same hotel). They were hamming it up for the picture with this hot Lego woman. Lego Land got a little crowded, so we ditched in the late afternoon and went back to the pool.
It was a fun trip and we all wish we were still there.
