who woulda thought?

football is going okay this year.  it seems like it never goes great from the get-go, but i have hope.  jake is playing on four special teams and also playing some defense.  because of the positions they play and the times they are on the field, jake and his friend, dallin, are probably two of the most unlikely players to score touchdowns.  yet on friday night, this is how the first two touchdowns of the season were scored by bountiful:

one of the craziest summaries i've seen.  jake said now he can tell his kids someday that he hit a home run in high school and scored a touchdown.  he seems pretty happy about that.
