Safety First

This new Utah law where 15-year-olds have to have a learner's permit and drive 40 hours with a parent before they are 16 is driving me crazy. I don't have time or patience to drive 40 hours with Jake and when he turns 16, it will be almost time to start the 40-hour clock with Caroline. Ugh. I have resorted to having Jake drive every time he needs to go somewhere so we will get to 40 hours ten minutes at a time. Yesterday he and Icky had haircut appointments. Jake and I were waiting in the car for Isaac who came out in a bicycle helmet, got in the car and said, "Safety first when Jake is driving." Sassy little guy.
