good news/bad news

so we had kind of a good news/bad news thing goin' on this week.  not in my wildest imagination did i think jake wouldn't be selected as the social science sterling scholar at bountiful.  but he wasn't.  big disappointment.  if we could go back in time, i'd do a few things different.  jake was chosen as the runner up, whatever that means.  haha.  we are still so proud of jake.  so that's the bad news.

the good news, which is way fun:  jake was voted by the senior class as the "best all-around".  that's always what i think of jake, he's just the best at everything, easy to like, nice to everyone, smart, funny...even though it's just a silly thing, i think it's an honor to be best all-around.  his female partner in this honor is kelsy schwab, who applied to be the english sterling scholar and wasn't selected (she is also student body president), so kelsy and jake are referring to themselves a the lovable losers.  they're definitely not losers though.

and isaac had his championship football party tonight.  these kids are gonna get way too full of themselves if they keep winning.  we had great poly food, great company, watched highlights of the season and then each boy got their trophy and heard their coaches say a few nice things about them.  coach larsen pointed out that isaac was definitely the person who kept them laughing at practice.
