wind day

my kids have been going to school in davis county their whole lives, save evan's first year of college.  in all those years, i can remember a day when evan's pre-school in salt lake was canceled for snow and another day when i thought schools should be closed.  but that's it.  all those years and not a snow day.  so that makes today and yesterday really weird because schools were closed for a wind day.  unusual for sure.  i found that our wind day wasn't terribly productive, but being a free day, i guess it didn't have to be.

unfortunately (per caroline) today's high school debate tournament was not canceled.  it took place at northridge in the afternoon and into the evening.  caroline competed and craig was a judge.  they are home now, but craig's car broke down for like the fifth time in a few months, so as we head off to bed, the car is sitting up at northridge high school and it's snowing.

jake will be home from d.c. in the morning.  we will all be glad to see him.
