"Stupid Eighth Graders"

Today was the day that Sam got called a "stupid eighth grader" by an administrator at his school.  Yep, it's the truth.  She also told him to shut up.  And she called him stupid more than once.  His infraction?  I brought him a burrito from Costa Vida for lunch today.  When he finished eating, he had a little rice left and his friend asked if he could have the rest.  Sam, knowing that the lunch lady is a bit nazi-ish about trash, told his friend repeatedly that he could finish the rice if he threw the trash away.  You can guess that the friend didn't throw the trash away and Sam was fingered for it.  When he tried to explain himself, the Vice Principal said "that is the stupidest excuse I've ever heard".  Hmmm.  I'm thinking a visit to the office is in order for me tomorrow.  Craig has already sent an e-mail.  Everytime Sam tells the story, he laughs.  I'm glad he feels good enough about himself that this is not a big issue.  But, yep, heads are prolly gonna roll tomorrow.  Stay tuned. 

Cute Caroline is still enjoying her volunteer time at the hospital and I found out today that she's been getting applications for all her friends so that they can volunteer with her.  I think that shows real leadership.  Or sociability.  But it's all for good, so it doesn't matter what it's called.
